Netmore strikes IoT deal in the UK – providing connectivity to 76,000 water meters for Diehl Metering and South West Water

Netmore Group has won a contract for 76,000 IoT subscriptions when smart water meters are to be connected with LoRaWAN in South West England. The deal takes place within the framework of a tender won by Netmore's partner Diehl Metering, and forms part of the water company South West Water's sustainability project Green Recovery Initiative. The duration of the contract is five years, and work on rolling out the network infrastructure will begin immediately.

Netmore expands LoRaWAN network in Poland

ECN, a company jointly owned by Netmore and Netmore's main owner Polar Structure, is set to launch a joint venture with Netemera, a Polish LoRaWAN player, to implement a large-scale LoRaWAN network in Poland. Simultaneously, the new company will step up efforts to enhance its market presence in Poland, with Netemera's solutions forming a key component of its growth strategy. Initially, the focus will be on gaining market share in areas such as water, gas, district heating and asset tracking.

Netmore divests M2M business to telecom and IoT operator Melita

Maltese telecom and IoT operator Melita Ltd (Melita) is acquiring Netmore Group's wholly owned subsidiary Netmore M2M AB (Netmore M2M) for an initial cash purchase price of EUR 1.75 million (approximately SEK 19.6 million), plus a conditional additional cash purchase price of up to a further EUR 2.6 million (approximately SEK 29 million). The parties have entered into an agreement on 26 January 2023 and closing will take place immediately.

Yorkshire Water chooses Netmore’s solutions for smart water metering framework – up to 360K properties covered in breakthrough deal worth up to £47 million

Netmore Group has won the Yorkshire Water framework regarding the delivery, installation and commissioning of smart water meters and LoRaWAN connectivity to Yorkshire Water Services in the UK for all new housing developments. In addition they have been granted a place on the framework for the rollout of Smart meters across the Yorkshire region. The framework agreement covers up to 360Kh households and has an order value of up to £47 million (approximately 583 MSEK). It will run for a three-year period with a possible extension to another two years and subsequent service provision. The deal further consolidates Netmore's strong position within LoRaWAN and smart water metering in Europe. Rollout and commissioning of meters and network infrastructure will begin immediately.

Netmore LoRaWAN expands to Switzerland through roaming agreement

Netmore and Swiss telecoms provider Swisscom have signed a cooperation agreement which concerns roaming between their respective IoT networks (LoRaWAN). Netmore’s Swedish and international customers will gain full access to Swisscom’s nationwide network in Switzerland, while Swisscom will be able to offer Netmore’s growing LoRaWAN coverage to its customers.

Netmore launches LoRaWAN rollout in Denmark

Netmore's network company European Connectivity Networks, co-owned with Polar Structure, begins its LoRaWAN deployment in Denmark. The aim is to offer nationwide coverage, and in parallel with the network roll-out, commercial processing of the Danish market for water, gas and district heating companies is taking place. The Danish LoRaWAN network will then become part of Netmore's growing European LoRaWAN, which is now offered in Sweden, the UK, Ireland, Spain, the Netherlands and Denmark.

Netmore and Newsec have entered a strategic partnership and signed a five-year framework agreement for Netmore's real estate digitisation offering. Netmore will receive 6 MSEK per year for 3 years for the continued development of Netmore Proptech Node, and in addition a monthly revenue per installed node. The nodes, which are sold "as-a-Service" and include a secure network operation service, form the basis for Newsec to offer a cyber-secure technical network for the connection of, among other things, property systems. The nodes, which are also equipped with LoRaWAN, enable both the connection of sensors, meters, and transducers, as well as the delivery of broadband services to tenants. Work will begin immediately.

Niam, one of the largest private property owners in the Nordic region with over 1.7 million square meters of real estate in its portfolio, chooses Netmore as its 5G operator when they begin the implementation of open 5G infrastructure for indoor use in their properties. Netmore delivers a turnkey 5G solution without any need for CAPEX investments or operation and maintenance work for the property owner (5G-as-a-service). Netmore wins 5G procurement for Confirm Smart Manufacturing National Research Center in Ireland

Netmore wins 5G procurement for the Confirm Smart Manufacturing, which is run at the University of Limerick. The contract initially runs for three years with an option for additional years. The installation will begin during Q1 2021 and Netmore's task is, in addition to the installation, to operate and maintain the network. Among other things, Netmore's technology will be used to explore the conditions for completely wireless factories. Other uses are high density wireless sensors, and predictive maintenance will also be used to control, track and map the movements of the manufacturing robots with the help of positioning technology.

Netmore proposes license exemptions for 5G for property owners

Netmore has submitted a response to a consultation by the Swedish radio & telecomunications regulator Post- & Telestyrelsen regarding exemptions from the radio license requirement for certain radio transmitters where popular technologies such as WiFi, LoRaWAN and others are already possible without expensive or complicated licenses. Netmore has proposed that 5G technologies in the band 3.7-3.8GHz, for example, should be excluded from an obligation to obtain a permit under certain conditions. This would allow farmers, homeowners, industries, hospitals, and many others to ensure good energy-efficient coverage where needed based on standard 5G technology - the most advanced and efficient radio technology available commercially.
